AND EXPECTATIONS

Pups Are Pals Small Dog Grooming is a business which puts the dog first.

Anti-viral antiseptic is used to clean surfaces and tools between each grooming.

Each dog is given individual care from start to finish.

Your dog is restrained when necessary.  Dogs are seldom ever muzzled.  Sometimes it is necessary if a dog bites or is aggressive.  If it is necessary to muzzle, the muzzle is removed as soon as possible and the dog is usually well behaved when given a second chance.

A dog is never left alone on the grooming table.

A dog is never cage dried.  Cage drying takes longer, it is often frightening for a dog and a dog can overheat.  Instead, the dog is (warm) air dried by hand and brushed at the same time, making for a cleaner look, adding body to the fur.  This way the dog is never left alone from start to finish.

Time and care is taken to avoid fear and pain (from de-matting) to the dog.  Gentle handling and praise calms a dog.  Also, working slowly with a fearful or aggressive dog can avoid confrontation.

A dog is kept here as long as it takes for the individual grooming procedure. Your dog may be kenneled for the short period it takes to be retrieved and taken home.

Each job starts with an explanation as to what grooming will be done.  The customer is asked what they want done and then a discussion decides the end result.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE GROOMER:

Please arrive on time
M
y business is run on a scheduled appointment basis.  It is appreciated that the customer arrive on time, or better yet, early.  Coming a few minutes early allows time for discussion as to how the dog needs to be groomed.

Please do not book another appointment which coincides with your dog grooming appointment but keep your time free in order to be able to pick up your dog when he or she is finished.
Many customers come from out of town and stay in Paris while their dog is being groomed.  They expect to be started and finished on time.  If appointment times are set back due to a previous customer arriving late, grooming gets backed up and upsets the schedules for everyone involved.

Anyone arriving more than 15 minutes late will be rebooked for another time.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT, please call as far in advance as possible so I can book someone else who wants that time spot.
Thank you.
